Carrie Day is a Phoenix local with a passion for improving the lives of children. A graduate of Chandler High School, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Special and Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University. She later earned a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix. Carrie worked in public schools in the Chandler Unified School District for 13 years, teaching both special and general education, and later transitioning to an administrative position.
Carrie grew up in a music-oriented family, learning the piano at an early age. This inculcated in her a lifelong love and appreciation of music in its many forms. In her free time, she enjoys being part of the downtown Phoenix community, having been a downtown resident for six years. She frequently attends a wide variety of downtown events, particularly enjoying performances by the Phoenix Symphony, while also being an enthusiastic attendee of many Diamondbacks and Suns games.
