Administrative Assistant
Justin is a long-time music enthusiast from the Sunnyslope, Phoenix Area. He has a passion for inclusion and access across all curriculums and industries; at the core of it, helping people is what drives him. He has experience working in an educational setting for over 6 years, where he served as a paraprofessional mentor to undergraduate students at Arizona State University (AZ) and Valdosta State University (GA). It is in these roles where Justin identified the unique needs of every individual student, and understood how it truly takes a village to provide the best enrichment for our youth. He also spent a portion of his career working with neurodiverse adults right here in the Valley. Being able to adapt lesson plans and connect with certain populations on a deeper level are some of the examples of the expertise he brings to SOUNDS Academy. Justin’s main focus and intention is to help provide long-term, consistent music education access to all members of our community in the Phoenix Area. A key way to achieve this is to hold space for all of our creative minds, so that they can grow and find themselves with the help of our amazing teaching artists.
When Justin is not working, you can find him relaxing at home with his family. He really enjoys cooking big meals and watching movies on the theater-like projector.
