Karen Escobar is a proud native of Phoenix, Arizona. Karen comes from
a family of immigrants who travelled from Guatemala in pursuit of a
better future for themselves and their children. Being a
first-generation college graduate, Karen has always been driven to
find a career path that not only aligns with her family values but
also allows her to express herself through her passion for writing.
She believes that writing is a powerful form of expression that allows
her to make her family proud of her achievements.
Karen’s search for a professional role that aligns with her values and
passion led her to Sounds Academy, an organization dedicated to
providing musical education, mentorship, and opportunities to
underserved youth. Karen was immediately drawn to the mission of
Sounds Academy and saw it as a perfect opportunity to make a
difference in the lives of others.
With her background in digital marketing, Karen has the skills and
expertise to create impactful and engaging content that can reach a
wide audience. She plans to combine her love for writing and marketing
to create meaningful and memorable experiences for the youth served by
Sounds Academy. Through her hard work and determination, Karen
continues to strive towards contributing at Sounds Academy, making a
difference in the lives of others and honoring the sacrifices of her
parents by creating opportunities for underserved youth through the
power of music and education.
