Teaching Artist (Piano)
Mrs. Kendra Jack is a native of Arizona and has been teaching piano since 2013. Her teaching career began at Prestige Music Academy in Phoenix, AZ where she taught privately for 3 years before moving to Rhapsody School of Music in Anthem, AZ. While at Rhapsody, she continued teaching privately with occasional group lessons. Her teaching experience has equipped her to teach students of all ages with many different learning abilities. Her main method for teaching piano is through classical music. However, she does teach a variety of different genres of music, such as contemporary, alternative, Christian, pop, country, and more. Every year her students participate in spring and winter recitals where family and friends get to listen to all the students’ hard work and dedication at the piano.
For as long as she can remember, Kendra has always had a love for playing the piano. When she was younger, she began taking piano lessons and performed in many recitals. At the age of 16, Kendra participated in The Piano Guild where students are judged on individual excellence by a well-qualified music professional in the areas of accuracy, continuity, dynamics, interpretation, technique and more, and received a perfect score. This was also the age where Kendra began using her gift of playing piano for the church and still continues to do so now.
In 2012, she attended Grand Canyon University where she graduated with honors in the year of 2015 with her Bachelors in Music with an emphasis in Piano Performance. While attending GCU, she was under the instruction of piano instructors who molded and shaped her into the pianist she is today. She does her best to pass on the same teaching of excellence to the students she teaches. She encourages her students to strive for excellence and to do their best. With hard work, persistence, and dedication she believes each one of her students can become phenomenal pianists.
