Donor Experience Administrator
Jerry joins SOUNDS Academy bringing with him 22 years of fundraising, relationship building, and public speaking experience. Having spent most of his career engaging individual and corporate donors on behalf of organizations like Valley of the Sun United Way and most recently Neighborhood Outreach Access to Health (NOAH), Jerry enjoys providing donors opportunities to “visit their money” and directly see the impact of their donations.
His entire career has centered around expanding access for all… to education, food, shelter, health care, and other social services. Working with SOUNDS Academy deeply connects with Jerry on a personal level due to the influence music has had on his life. He hopes all youth with an interest in playing music can have an opportunity to participate, learn, and express themselves, while at the same time improving their educational outcomes. Jerry applauds organizations and funders who recognize the impact of arts and music on children’s ability to learn, grow, and thrive. After all, how did so many of us memorize our ABCs? We learned them through the alphabet song.
He is a graduate of Scottsdale Leadership Class 26, is their lifelong elected Class Representative, and currently serves on the Alumni Engagement Committee. Jerry enjoys rock concerts, sports, karaoke, he was the lead singer in three local bands, and has opened for Blues Traveler, Soulcracker, and Seven Mary Three.
