Myles Kellerman is a composer currently completing his DMA in Music Composition at ASU. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri where he began both his music and composition career at a young age. Myles completed his undergraduate degree at Southwestern University where he studied composition under Jason Hoogerhyde and guitar under David Asbury. He completed his Master’s at DePaul University in Chicago under Christopher Wendell Jones, Osnat Netzer, and Ronald Caltabiano. Myles’s music has been performed by various ensembles at Southwestern including the university’s jazz band, percussion ensemble, and new music ensemble. Beyond Georgetown, Texas, his music has been performed by Transient Canvas, the Arizona Contemporary Music Ensemble, Divergent Trio, city seabird, and Ensemble Dal Niente. As a guitarist and performer, Myles has played in many ensembles throughout his musical career covering many genres including rock, new music, choral, and jazz; continuing to find opportunities to have his music performed or perform music in any capacity while completing his studies at ASU.
