Administrative Supervisor

Position Summary:
SOUNDS Academy seeks a dynamic, motivated and experienced individual to take on the position of Administrative Supervisor. The Administrative Supervisor will be responsible for the operational success of SOUNDS Academy, ensuring seamless team management and development, program delivery, and quality control and evaluation. In this newly established role, the Administrative Supervisor will manage a growing staff and community.

Candidates with experience, unique ideas, and strong connections with the communities which SOUNDS Academy serves will be given preferential consideration. Experience with SalesForce and Bilingual-Spanish speaking is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:
• Work the Executive Director to carry out the SOUNDS Academy mission and vision in order to continuously improve student achievements.
• Communicate with empathy and understanding to the individual needs of students and families.
• Efficiently execute the registration and scholarship process.
• Manage schedules, calendars, and SOUNDS Academy communication systems.
• Communicate effectively and constructively with parents, teachers, principals, and other key members of SOUNDS Academy programs.
• Work independently and without supervision while completing work in an efficient and timely manner.
• Plan, schedule, and oversee community events and Instrument Petting Zoos.
• Manage, schedule, and track volunteers.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of a BA, MA preferred.
• At least 3 years of organizational and team experience.
• Experience with scheduling, calendar management, major events, and working with volunteers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Recruiting, managing, developing, coaching, and retaining individuals and teams, empowering them to elevate their levels of responsibility, span-of-control and performance.
• Ability to work with diverse populations with a record of leadership and accomplishments.
• Strong written and verbal communication with equally strong presentation skills.

Note: Part Time Position; Hourly Range: $12 – $17 per hour (dependent on experience)

Assistant Director of Development

Position Summary:
SOUNDS Academy seeks a dynamic, motivated and experienced individual to take on the position of Assistant Director of Development. The Assistant Director of Development is responsible for planning, directing, and implementing a comprehensive Development Program and significantly increasing donor engagement and fundraising outcomes. SOUNDS Academy seeks a professional to work with the Executive Director to drive new contributed revenue, maintain and increase current donors, and expand development capabilities of the organization. A successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering measurable results in the fields of annual fundraising, major gift development, and campaign and reporting design.

Candidates with experience, unique ideas, and strong connections with the communities which SOUNDS Academy serves will be given preferential consideration. Experience with SalesForce and Bilingual-Spanish speaking is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:
• Implement and manage fundraising operations including donor-tracking systems, data management, meeting preparation, gift processing and post-gift donor management.
• Maintain and grow dynamic portfolio of high net worth individuals, securing major, principal, and planned gifts through effective donor identification, qualification, cultivation, and solicitation.
• Grow major gifts and corporate gifts.
• Design, implement and manage innovative annual campaigns to be disseminated across multiple platforms (mail, phone, online, events etc.).
• Leverage SOUNDS Academy’s existing database of donors and incorporate them into annual campaigns.
• Monitor grant and grant report deadlines to ensure organization compliance with both.
• Strengthen and ensure dynamic processes and strategies for development in all phases of donor qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Identify, implement, and track key performance indicators.
• Establish priorities for marketing and communications as they pertain to development, by jointly overseeing marketing and audience development, social media campaigns, publications (Annual Report), creative design, public relations, and web and digital strategies.
• Create, track, and report progress on a regular basis to the Executive Director.

In addition, the ideal candidate will possess:

• Strongly developed organizational, interpersonal, and managerial skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, and QuickBooks.
• Desire to grow, improve, and achieve on behalf of and within the organization.
• CFRE – Certified Fund Raising Executives training preferred.

Qualifications:
• BA or BS in the fields of Nonprofit, Arts, or Business Management, Business, Financing, Accounting, Communications, or related fields required. MA or MS preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in successful non-profit fundraising, ideally within the arts or education
• Proven track record and achievement in designing, directing, and executing annual campaigns.
• Proven track record and achievement in cultivation of major gifts from individuals and organizations.
• Experience planning, directing, and executing large-scale fundraising events.
• Ability to work with diverse populations with a record of leadership and accomplishments.
• Strong written and verbal communication with equally strong presentation skills.
