What is the purpose of S.O.U.N.D.S.?

S.O.U.N.D.S. aims to teach kids how to play instruments from the string family in order to prepare children for a career in the field of music. Through careful mentoring, we aim to provide musical experiences and opportunities that aid in inspiring and preparing children to pursue a career in the music industry. S.O.U.N.D.S. enriches the music program of the public schools since children of the program are required to participate in the music programs of their schools (if their school has one). At this level of the program, students are inspired through music instruction and field experiences. During their time in the program, they gain the necessary knowledge and skills in order to pursue a career in music.
