Student Intern
Saketh Velaga is a saxophonist for the Wind Orchestra of the Phoenix Youth Symphony Orchestra. He has been volunteering with Sounds Academy since 2024. He aligns with Sounds Academy goals with a passion for equality in all types of education.
Saketh’s passion for equality in education runs deep in music, financial literacy, and resource access through non profits like Sounds Academy such as Finance For Kids and Equality in Forensics.
Saketh has been learning the saxophone since he was 11 from his school band. Since 2024, he has been a member of the Phoenix Youth Symphony Orchestra where he is working on improving his musical technicality. He has been taught under Northern Arizona University’s Band Director, Stephen Myers.
He seeks creative freedom and expression, as well as valuable life experiences through music.
Aside from music, he loves competing in Future Business Leaders of America and Speech and debate. He also loves to play soccer with his friends.
He is one of the administrative interns as of 2025.
