Teaching Artist (Piano)
Addison is an artist, educator, vocalist, and composer from Phoenix, AZ currently studying music composition at ASU. She believes that every student should be given a chance to grow and views teaching as a collaborative experience. While teaching, her role is to empower students to make their own decisions about their musical ideas and goals, while guiding them through those decisions. Since music is an art, lessons are a safe space for a student to explore expression, creation, and identity as well as progressing through the fundamentals of music. Addison prioritizes understanding her students and their needs in order to deliver a unique, empowering, and worthwhile experience that encompasses the many facets of music education. Besides teaching, Addison spends a lot of time writing music, singing, doing art, and obsessing over her cat!
