Teaching Artist (Violin)

The Polish born violinist, Dagmara “Daga” Suchon, began her violin studies with her father, Stanislaw Suchon, the concertmaster of Poznan Philharmonic. Under the guidance of Prof. Michal Grabarczyk, she graduated cum laude from the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Music Academy in Poznan, Poland. 

Upon graduation Daga lived in Germany, where as a pop musician she joined her sister Joanna in an electric violin duo “Space Violins”. 

Coming from a family of musicians with extensive musical traditions, from the early age she performed in a wide range of productions, from early music to symphony orchestras, film music recordings, jazz groups, flamenco guitarists and live circus shows in many European countries. 

After moving to the United States, she continued her musical career in Los Angeles and then Phoenix where she settled with her family and founded “Lady Daga’s Violin Studio”. She is currently holding a position of Violin Technique Instructor at Arizona School for the Arts. 

Her orchestral engagements include Poznan Philharmonic Orchestra, Goran Bregovic Orchestra, Tiroler Festspiele Erl, The American Youth Symphony, Redlands Symphony, Riverside County Philharmonic, San Bernardino Symphony, The Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra, Phoenix Opera, Arizona ProArte Orchestra, Musica Nova Orchestra, Arizona Musicfest Orchestra and The Phoenix Symphony. As a chamber musician she performs regularly with Celebration Strings and Duo Polonaise.
