2021 SOUNDS SpeakEasy Fundraiser

The SOUNDS Academy SpeakEasy was a huge success! This year we had a masquerade theme for everyone to enjoy. Here are the highlights now that the event is over:

SOUNDS Academy Hosts their Annual Speakeasy Fundraising Event

The Event: SOUNDS Speakeasy – 20’s Masquerade Theme

The Cause: Fundraiser to help spread music education opportunities to Arizona youth

Event Date: November 13th, 2021 @ 5:30PM

Location: The Historic Ellis-Shackelford House – 1242 N Central Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85004

Sponsor: Thrivent and McKenzie’s Midtown Tavern

Food Provided By: McKenzie’s Midtown Tavern, Brenda’s Inferno, and Trapp Haus BBQ

Entertainment: SOUNDS Academy Students; Abraham and Israel

Notable Moments: The evening provided perfect weather in the heart of downtown Phoenix as guests came together to support spreading music education opportunities to children in Phoenix, AZ at the Historic Ellis-Shackelford House. The main program featured two SOUNDS Academy students. Callie expressed what her experience has been like while in SOUNDS Academy and Israel mesmerized the audience with his cello performance. Founder and CEO, Kirk Johnson closed the evening with stories about how SOUNDS Academy has impacted children in Phoenix over the last 7 years by helping students set and accomplish their dreams. By the end of the evening, SOUNDS Academy supporters were able to raise over $23,000 to support music education.
